Chief Loretta Aniagolu Biography
Chief Loretta Aniagolu is the CEO of FIT Group of Companies. She is the promoter and pioneer for the development of HELIU, Nigeria’s Health City and Residences in Nigeria, on Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway, Enugu, Enugu State. The district is expected to host a 250-Bed, Multi-Specialty Hospital, the first Hilton Hotel in the Southeast of Nigeria, over 1, 000 Homes and other facilities. Her unique approach to achieving affordable elegance in designs and infrastructure, sets her Estates apart from others. For instance, her Estates are the only ones with 20-year, maintenance free, concrete roads and solar energy.
She has over 40 years of experience, spanning Banking, Finance, Real Estate Development and the Mining Sectors; she is better known for her commitment and support for the Advocacy for Equal and Human Rights, as well as, Philanthropy, which earned her recognition and honors in Igbo and Yoruba regions.
Chief Aniagolu served as the Economic Adviser and Coordinator for Economic Development to the Government of Enugu State from 1993 to 1999. During that period, she rejigged the concept and process of delivering Donor Projects in Nigeria, to produce the early version of the Micro Credit Pilot Document, under the auspices of the United Nations Development Programme, UNDP, which ultimately metamorphosed into the Micro Credit Banking you see in Nigeria today. During the same period, she worked with a Mass Literacy NGO, to introduce a unique method of simultaneously teaching Women both Skills Acquisition and Literacy, making adult learning more attractive, easy and practical.
Chief Loretta is a University of Jos, Nigeria, Bachelor of Science Graduate of Economics. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, (MBA in Finance and International Marketing) from the University of Hartford, Connecticut, USA. She completed a number of Certification Courses, including one from the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government in Privatization. She is and has been a Member of Boards of Government and Private organizations and has received many community and professional association recognitions for competence and superior delivery.
Chief Loretta Aniagolu is a chip of the old block, the first daughter of the judicial icon, the late Justice Anthony Aniagolu of the Supreme Court, whose integrity on the bench was unimpeachable, and Lady May Aniagolu, who remains a beacon of dignity and grace. Chief Aniagolu is a proud mother of her daughter and best friend, Ola. She holds many awards and board memberships. During her leisure, she enjoys movies, reading, swimming and travel.
